About Aaron

I was born and raised a Jehovah’s Witness in rural upstate, NY affectionately known by locals as the “North Country”. I moved with my family to Ft Lauderdale, FL at the age of 18 and by the age of 21 I left the Jehovah’s Witnesses completely with a promising Tech career in the early days of the Internet. I taught myself Network Engineering and eventually moved to Denver Colorado in 97 where my Tech career really took off.

In 2002 the influence of writers like Kerouac, Coelho, Thompson, & Palahniuk got the better of me. I tossed my Tech career away, learned to grow cannabis and eventually ended up moving to Los Angeles California where I spent a couple years waiting tables and pretending I wanted to be an actor before finally becoming totally disillusioned as I discovered the real world wasn’t any less fake than the Jehovah’s Witness world I’d sacrificed everyone I knew and loved, to get away from. As a result, in 2005 I sold everything, loaded up a backpack and joined the homeless on Venice Beach.

One month later I joined the Hare Krishna’s and by October I was in INDIA with only enough money for a couple months. I ended up staying for 2 YEARS traveling all around the country from Goa to Leh Ladakh, mostly by motorcycle surviving on what little money I could scrape together playing music, & assisting other tourists. I also spent several months in New Delhi teaching college students how to sing Billy Joel songs & Rishikesh helping a guy from England launch a pizza parlor. The list goes on.

To say the least I tested myself in ways I never imagined and gained a profoundly new sense of confidence in my ability to get through any situation no matter how challenging.

While working @ the pizza place in 2007 I fell in love with a Druze woman from Israel & moved there to be with her. I lived in Haifa for 8 months where I worked as a cook in Eli’s Pub.

After nearly 3 years abroad I returned to the States in 2008 immediately finding work as a waiter in Florida before ultimately throwing on a backpack and going FULL Kerouac. I didn’t know what I was looking for. I only knew “normal” life  was never going to be for me ever again and it took me a very long time to figure out what I wanted and how to get it.

During that time of existential confusion I traveled the U.S. going to rainbow gatherings, working on organic farms, really WHATEVER came my way. I had NO direction. I was just going wherever the wind blew me.

Currently I am working hard to start my own e-commerce business as well as finding the best way to monetize the numerous skills I have acquired over the years.
